Monica Lunin

Monica’s presentations offer outcomes balanced with entertainment; her ideas make audiences think differently whilst her acerbic observations create a relaxed convivial environment. Her keynote presentations strike the right balance of education and entertainment; they are ‘edutainment’.

A true expert in communication and influence, Monica has years of experience and many accomplishments but she is also a lifelong learner.

Background

A thread running through Monica’s life has been a need to understand, replicate and then teach the illusive skill of influence.  This began with an early obsession with debating, at school and university where she learned how to create and deliver a compelling, persuasive argument under pressure.

With a higher education background in Political Science (University of Western Ontario, Canada) and a Master’s degree in International Relations (University of Sydney, Australia), Monica evolved her views on leadership and power in a global context.  She developed an appreciation for both the theorists and practitioners.

Monica has real world corporate experience gleaned in senior leadership within the financial services sector.  Her career has helped to cement the belief that communication is indeed a cornerstone skill of leadership.

She is motivated by helping talented people find their voice, share their vision and make their mark.

Highlights

What She Said: The art of inspiring action through speech is Monica’s award winning and Amazon best selling book in which she has curated and analysed 40 of the world’s greatest speeches made by strong, empowering and diverse women. Each speech is placed in context and comes with three lessons that are tangible, relatable and easily applicable.

According to BlueWolf Reviews “What She Said is a powerhouse book. Anyone who has to make a speech, no matter what their standing, the reason or the audience size, should ensure they obtain a copy.”

Monica is also co-owner of MOJOLOGIC with founder John Boyle. MOJOLOGIC is a Sydney-based consultancy delivering professional development solutions for longer term change in the areas of communication, business development and leadership.

In news and journal articles, interviews and podcasts Monica shares her ideas, whether they are practical tips, big ideas or words of inspiration. She is happy to speak off the cuff or craft thoughtful essays.
